The lavender story
The very beginning of everything was a dream, really! Inga had been dreaming of her lavender fields – flowering and fragrant – by our summer house close to Limbaži for quite a while but kept that in secret.
Once I asked her, “Inga, what would you really like to do in your life besides your routine and tedious chores?“
Apparently, that was the right moment for Inga to brace her heart and reveal her dream, “I would like to grow huge lavender fields near our summer house! One night I had a real lavender dream... And we would share that beauty and fragrance with our friends and the whole world!“
I was surprised by getting that swift response... I said, “Sounds interesting, and why not!? We are going to have those fields!“ And day by day that dream was coming true...
Dreams come true!
It was a fate that soon after that conversation we were visiting our friends in Holland, we told them about our dream and our house in the countryside which we wanted to improve. Once again, we realized that everything is connected in some way! It appeared there was a lavender farm nearby which we took a look at. When we saw the fields we knew that was exactly what we wanted!
We started gathering information on lavender and discovered that lavender farms are quite popular in the south, but why couldn’t we have it in the north? And now we have them! Already two of them – in Vidzeme and Kurzeme!

“The place is good for relaxation and enjoying the scent of lavender during flowering. At any other time, it is a good place for travelers who are leaving the next day. There are several small terraces for a slow breakfast and conversations.“
